MSME Minister Inaugurated 50 SFURTI Clusters

A total of 50 artisan-based SFURTI clusters have been inaugurated by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Minister Nitin Gadkari. These clusters are spread over 18 States. The scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI) is a scheme to provide financial support for promoting traditional industries. Intensified Mission Indradhanush 3.0 launched

Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan has launched the Intensified Mission Indradhanush 3.0 (IMI 3.0). The aim of the mission is to expand immunization coverage across the country. Key Points The Intensified Mission Indradhanush 3.0 will have two rounds. Round 1 is starting on February 22 and Round 2 will start on March 22. Both rounds will be for 15 days each. The rounds will be conducted in pre-identified 250 districts and urban areas across 29 States and UTs in the country. Jal Jeevan Mission Reaches 3.5 Crore Rural Household Tap Water Connections

The Jal Jeevan Mission has reached a new milestone by providing 3.53 Crore rural household tap water connections. Jal Jeevan Mission was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15, 2019, with the aim to provide a tap water connection to every rural household by the year 2024. MoHUA Launches ‘Pey Jal Survekshan’

Pilot Pey Jal Survekshan has been launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs under Jal Jeevan Mission- Urban, JJM-U. Key Points Pilot Pey Jal Survekshan will be conducted in cities to ascertain the equitable distribution of water, mapping of water bodies with respect to quantity and quality of water, and reuse of wastewater. Digital Insurance Policies via DigiLocker

Recently, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in a statement said that the Insurance Regulatory Authority of India (IRDAI) has advised all insurance companies for issuing digital insurance policies via DigiLocker. The government has given approval to applications from several medical device manufacturers under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. This has been done with an aim to promote domestic manufacturing. Key Points As per the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the companies whose applications have been approved are Sahajan and Medical Technologies, Siemens Healthcare, Wipro GE Healthcare, and Nipro India Corporation. The government has set up a Nodal Authority to frame Approved Standardised Deep-Sea Fishing Vessels (DSFV) Design and Specifications (ASDDS). This nodal authority will help state fisheries departments in expediting the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).
